Description... Each Wednesday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm St. John's opens its dining room to anyone wanting to buy and enjoy here or take out a home-cooked baked chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy, bread & butter, salad and dessert. The lunch crew serves up the already prepared meal and garnishes the experience with smiles and warmth for the many guests of St. John's who appreciate the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch, often accompanied by delightful piano music, for only $6.50. Among the various tasks are collecting payment, serving meals, preparing take-out servings and cleaning up.

Are Additional Volunteers Needed / Wanted?... Always. Extra hands are always appreciated; this is a pleasant fellowship opportunity for everyone working together.

Boars Head Lunch Crew

Time and Talent Commitment... The Boar's Head Luncheon is served on Wednesdays beginning mid-September and going through mid-May (generally when Youngstown State University is in session for its fall & spring semesters). Volunteers work on those Wednesdays, arriving around 11 am and staying through clean-up; many also then choose to remain and sit down themselves for a meal together.
