Description... Several groups rotate through and provide monthly coverage. Duties include setting for each service and cleaning up afterward, cleaning the altar area, polishing all silver brass used in the services, caring for the altar linens, tending to the altar candles.
Are Additional Volunteers Needed / Wanted?... Always. We would love to have younger members join as well as people "newer" to the church. It would be nice as well to have men join us.
Time and Talent Commitment... Each person is assigned to two monthly groups. Each month's group is then responsible for
ensuring that a couple members spend about an hour either during the day on Friday or on Saturday morning preparing for Sunday and that one or two members prepare and clean up for and after the early service and another one or two prepare and clean up for and after the late service. If a baptism, wedding or funeral happens to fall during that month, that may involve some additional time. No specific talent is required and members provide guidance to one another. Total time commitment per month is about 10 hours a month, twice a year.
