Please call the church office if you wish to give Sunday altar flowers as a memorial, to honor a family member, or in celebration of blessings received.
Description... The office arranges for the flowers and their delivery by the florist and the financial secretary bills you directly. We do our best to schedule your flowers for the Sunday you request. If you so desire, your name can be added to the annual roster for a particular Sunday and the financial secretary will bill you each year in advance of that date.
Are Additional Volunteers Needed / Wanted?... Individuals looking for a beautiful way to honor loved ones or celebrate blessings are always welcome to donate for the flowers for a particular service.
Time and Talent Commitment... The purpose of memorial flowers in worship services is multifaceted: one part is to enhance the sanctuary with reminders of the beauty of God's creation; another is to honor cherished individuals whom we love and have released "into the glorious company of the saints in light."
Thus, these memorials are communal in nature just as is the worship service itself. Like baptisms, memorial flowers on a given Sunday need not be limited to one person or one family. If you have a favorite Sunday for a memorial, for whatever reason, feel free to join in the gift of flowers.
All memorials are gifts to the people remembered, to "the saints in light," and to this worshipping community.
