Anglican Spirituality: An Advent Book Group — Tuesdays of Advent (December 4, 11 & 18) at 7 pm

Advent is a season traditionally designated by the Church as a time of hope. This Advent we are offering a Tuesday evening reflection and discussion series for anyone hoping to deepen their spiritual life — especially participants of the most recent membership classes and those who are intending to formally join St. John's in the spring. We will read Holy Companions: Spiritual Practices from the Celtic Saints by Mary Earle and Sylvia Maddox to guide our discussions and explorations of the rich Anglican tradition.

Christian formation is a constant, life-long journey without a final destination; everyone is invited to join us this Advent.

There are copies of the book available in the office for $12. See Jeremiah or John for more information. Please read the first 50 pages before the first session.

NOTE: The previous selection, A Passionate Tradition by Alan Bartlett is not being released until January, thus necessitating the change of book.
