Direct us, O Lord, in all our doings with your most gracious favor, and further us with your continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in you, we may glorify your Holy Name, and finally, by your mercy, obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP p.832

Prayers

Lord our God, as we celebrate the Easter joy of resurrection, may we remember those who are hungry, homeless, and those who need health care. Help us to respond to these needs through prayerful and joyful giving, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen

Almighty and most merciful God, we remember before you all poor and neglected persons whom it would be easy for us to forget: the homeless and the destitute, the old and the sick, and all who have none to care for them. Help us to heal those who are broken in body or spirit, and to turn their sorrow into joy. Grant this, Father, for the love of your Son, who for our sake became poor, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Heavenly Father, please help all of us to realize the overwhelming needs in our neighborhoods and across the globe. Help us, Lord, to have compassion for all who are in need and help us to reach out to them in every way we can. Speak to our hearts that we may give of what we have to spread your love to all those who need it. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we remember before you those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work, ill health, hunger, neglect, or other needs. Guide us and all the people of this land that we may use our wealth that all may find suitable comfort for their various needs. Amen.
