Psalms 69, 73 | Genesis 43:1-15 | 1 Corinthians 7:1-9 | Mark 4:35-41 | Mark 4:35-41
Like many of us, I first heard this story when I was a young Sunday School student. In my innocence, I figured that the point of the story was that if you were out on a boat, it was always a good idea to bring Jesus with you.
All these years later, I have never been on a boat in a windstorm. However, I have grown in experience and realize that there are all sorts of storms that we face. Here in Youngstown, we've probably all been touched in one way or the other by a stormy economy. Many of us have been in stormy relationships or worked for stormy employers. Even those of us who stay on land have good reasons for faith.
