Psalms 61, 62, 68 | Genesis 42:1-17 | 1 Corinthians 5:1-8 | Mark 3:19b-35
In Psalm 61, David was far from his home in Jerusalem. He was depressed, afraid and felt he was no help to his son Absalom. He called to God for help. As he prayed, he thought of strong things around him. God as a rock — protection from his enemies. God as a tower — providing strength. God as a house — in David's day, most people had tents so their houses were portable — God was everywhere. Under God's wings — a protected, secure place.
David felt God's presence as he prayed and promised to praise God all the days of his life.
Can you feel God's presence in your life? This Lent find refreshment and renewal.
