Psalms 55, 138, 139 | Genesis 41:1-13 | 1 Corinthians 4:1-7 | Mark 2:23-3:6
“O Lord, you have searched me and you know me, You know when I sit and when I rise, you perceive my thoughts from afar.” Psalm 139:1-2
When my daughter was in her late teens, she was in a horrific auto accident between a vehicle and a steel utility pole. She sustained thirteen (13) major breaks in her body. The driver lost five (5) teeth. Her life was in a balance between life and death. I gave her to God, I felt I had failed as a mother.
Three weeks later, after the surgeries, her doctor revealed to me that her left thigh was not healing and needed more surgery. Leaving the hospital that day with tears running down my face, I was tormented as to what I would do now.
A gentle, soft voice said to me, “I thought you gave her to me!”. I looked around to see no one and realized that was God reminding me she was His to care for.
My daughter now at fifty-five years of age is still being cared for by God.
Thank you, God.
